Swim Tether for Inground Pools

Turn any inground pool into an endless swimming lane. No renovation, no swim jets, no electricity required.

Your Pool Is Already Perfect for Tethered Swimming

Inground pools are the ideal setup for Swim Tether. You already have a solid deck surface to mount the base, a defined swimming area, and water deep enough for comfortable laps. The only thing missing is a way to swim continuously without hitting the wall every few strokes.

Swim Tether solves that. A fiberglass pole mounts to your pool deck and connects to a swim belt with a stretch cord. You swim in place against smooth, progressive resistance — all four strokes, any speed, in perfectly calm water. The pole removes in seconds when you want your pool back for recreation.

Why It Works So Well in Inground Pools

Solid Deck Mount

Concrete, paver, stone, and composite decks all provide a rock-solid mounting surface. The base drills in flush and stays put.

Room to Swim

Even a 12-foot pool gives you plenty of space for continuous swimming. Longer pools let you use longer cords for a more open-water feel.

Proper Depth

The shallow end of most inground pools is 3–4 feet — ideal for standing to clip in and adjust your belt before swimming.

Silent & Calm

No pump noise, no turbulence, no bubbles. Your pool stays exactly as peaceful as it is right now — just with a better workout.

Removable Anytime

Pull the pole out in seconds for pool parties, open swimming, or when you just want a clean deck. The base sits flush when not in use.

A Fraction of the Cost

Swim jet installations cost $5,000–$30,000+. A complete Swim Tether system starts at $215. That's 95%+ savings with zero ongoing electricity costs.

How to Set Up

Simple setup. No plumber. No electrician.

1

Choose Your Location

Install 6–8 inches from the pool edge, ideally in the shallow end. This keeps you in standing-depth water for easy clip-in and safety.

2

Mount the Base

For concrete or paver decks, use the Concrete Base (included free). Drill the anchor hole, set the base with concrete adhesive, and let it cure. For wood or composite decks, use the Threaded Base — bolts directly to the surface.

3

Insert the Pole

Drop your fiberglass pole into the base. It locks in with a friction fit — no tools needed. Removes just as fast.

4

Clip In and Swim

Attach the stretch cord to the pole, clip the other end to your swim belt, and go. The cord provides smooth, progressive resistance — the harder you swim, the more it pulls back.

Recommended Setup

The right configuration depends on your pool size and swimming goals.

ST3 + Concrete Base + 8–12 ft Cord
Best for Most Inground Pools

ST3 + Concrete Base + 8–12 ft Cord

The ST3 gives you the smoothest swim feel with maximum flex. The elevated cord angle keeps your body horizontal. An 8–12 ft cord works for pools 14 ft and longer.

Base: Concrete Base (included) · Cord: 8 ft (14+ ft pool) or 10–12 ft (set back from edge) · Includes: Swim belt & carry bag

ST2 + Concrete Base + 6–8 ft Cord
Small or Plunge Pools

ST2 + Concrete Base + 6–8 ft Cord

For pools under 14 feet, the ST2's moderate flex gives you a great swim without overwhelming a smaller space. Shorter cords keep you centered in the swimming area.

Base: Concrete Base (included) · Cord: 6 ft (10–14 ft pool) or 4.5 ft (under 10 ft) · Includes: Swim belt & carry bag

Pro Tips for Inground Pool Owners

📍

Install in the shallow end. It's safer to stand when clipping on your belt, and if you get fatigued during a swim you can easily put your feet down.

📏

If you install more than 8 inches from the edge, add the extra distance to your cord length. Example: if you're 4 feet back from the water's edge and would normally need an 8 ft cord, get a 12 ft cord instead.

🪵

Wood or composite deck? Choose the Threaded Base instead of the Concrete Base. It bolts directly into the deck surface — no concrete adhesive needed.

🧹

Remove the pole when not swimming. It takes two seconds and keeps your pool area clean. The base sits flush with the deck and won't interfere with pool covers.

💧

Rinse your cord and belt after each use. Fresh water removes chlorine and salt buildup, extending the life of your equipment significantly.
