Which Fitting Do You Need?
Look at your base and match it below. Narrow and Standard poles are not interchangeable — picking the right one means it fits the first time.
How to Tell Which You Have
Whether you need a Narrow or Standard fitting comes down to your base — the anchor point your pole drops into, mounted on the edge of a pool or built into the shell lip or topside of a swim spa. The two fittings aren't interchangeable, so it's worth a quick check before you order.
Most bases — including ours and many factory ones — take a Standard fitting; a handful of factory swim-spa bases take a Narrow one. You can't tell from where it's mounted, so find your base in the photos below. Still unsure? Measure the opening, or send us a photo and we'll confirm.
No Calipers? Try the Coin Test
Our Narrow fitting is 19 mm (3/4″) across; Standard is 22 mm (7/8″). Coins are minted to exact diameters — the US penny is exactly 3/4″, the same diameter as our Narrow fitting — so two coins from your pocket can size the opening for you.
Find your two coins below, then see which one drops flat into the hole in your base.
Before you test: put a piece of tape on each coin as a handle. A coin that drops all the way into the socket is very hard to get back out — don't skip this step.

- Coin 1 drops in flat, Coin 2 doesn't — your base takes a Narrow fitting.
- Both coins drop in — your base takes a Standard fitting.

Face is free of any markings. Hole measures less than 7/8" and face around 3". Accepts Narrow fitting pole.
Common on CalSpas. Engraved patent number. Held by 3 screws. Accepts a Narrow fitting pole.
Marked with "Super Swim Pro" - Accepts Narrow fitting pole.
4 distinct ejector pin marks and 3 screws. Accepts a Narrow fitting pole.
Standard Fit
