ST3 is really bringing what was missing to really enjoy my swim spa and get back to everyday training.
The build quality is obvious when you unpack it. You can tell that a lot of attention was given to details.
On top of that, delivery was very fast and reliable. I made a mistake when ordering by selecting a standard fitting instead of a narrow one, and Brent was super helpful and responsive. That was even a lot of fun to exchange emails with him and he clearly knows what he is doing. I'm happy that my thumb and 10 rappen went famous over the internet :) The beginning of glory :)

The swimming experience is really good. The long pole holds your hips high in the water. It is very easy to swim with.

Great product and even better customer service

We inherited an indoor pool with a new house purchase, which although relaxing isn’t big enough (8m) for any form of exercise. I considered a counter current machine, but the effort and cost (and bulk) put me off. The Tether has made all the difference, now we are both swimming hard for 30 minutes daily.

The tether helps me stay in the swim lane, keeps my body straight down the middle. Without it the strong eddy would try to bring my legs around sideways.

This year we installed an 8' x 20' "container" pool - for those who don't know this is a SeaCan shipping container converted into a pool. Our pool has a max depth of 4' with a 10' length and a couple of shallower shelves at one end for the grandkids and sitting/lounging. We also have a 44" high railing that surrounds the container. I submitted a drawing of our setup to Swim Tether and Thomas was very helpful instructing where to mount our 6" x 6" post for the anchoring system. At his direction I installed the post 18" from the railing (at the edge of the pool) and at the height of the pool deck on our 4' deep section. The system works great and the pole while it does bend does not contact our railing which I wanted to avoid. We ordered the ST3 system as weren't sure which of the bungee lengths we would need. While the 4' cord works I found the 6' cord was perfect for front crawl, back crawl and back stroke. The 8' cord is too long for front crawl (I started contacting our shallower section) but does work for breast and back stroke. I was pleasantly surprised as to how quickly I adapted to the system and the strokes feel very natural. As you're not moving through the water there is more resistance as you swim however this is just a matter of scaling your workout accordingly. I'm really excited about this system as it will now allow us to get in meaningful swim workouts in our small pool. I'd highly recommend this system for anyone interested in swim fitness in a smaller pool!

This swim tether is well-made - it comes with a concrete installation plate, but if you want to install in a swim spa or on a deck , you will have to contact the manufacturer for the threaded installation or get a little creative. The belt is comfortable, and the kit comes with three lengths of tether cord - 4.5', 6' and 8'. I'm really not sure when you would want to use the shorter cords except for small children. The flexrod pole measures almost 6' tall, so with the longest tether cord, it will accommodate just about any height.

An excellent way to get an effective swim workout at home

I’m extremely pleased with my Swim Tether swim tether. It allows you to swim in place while maintaining a very natural swimming sensation, thanks to the progressive resistance of the elastic cord and the flexibility of the pole.

What really impressed me, though, is the comfort while swimming. The belt is very comfortable to wear and, after a few minutes, it becomes almost unnoticeable. You can focus entirely on your stroke, pace, and technique without feeling restricted or uncomfortable.

Another major advantage is the simplicity of the installation. Setting up the Swim Tether is quick and straightforward, with no complicated installation or special equipment required. It makes it very easy to get started and enjoy a workout almost immediately.

I also really appreciate the training tips and workout programs provided by Swim Tether. They are a valuable resource for varying your workouts, improving endurance, and making steady progress.

The design feels solid and well thought out, the system is simple and quiet to use, and the results are impressive. It’s a great way to turn your pool into an effective training space without having to install a swimming-in-place system.

I highly recommend Swim Tether, both for regular training and simply for getting more out of your pool. A fantastic discovery and, in my opinion, an excellent investment!

Purchased as a gift for my husband. Install was relatively easy. Works well. Would recommend.

Great quality and comfortable. However, I swim open water long distance using a two beat kick . Pool training with the tether I find my feet sinking due to minimal kick and lack of forward momentum. I don’t really want to have to do a flutter kick as it changes my cadence. Ankle straps rather than hip strap may be an option ?? At this point I’m not sure the tether is going to be as helpful as I’d hoped .

I like it. Works as advertised except I paid and did receive screw thread model. Would be nice if there was optional over shoulder clip belts not just waist so u could adjust wear on torso the belt sits. My lowere back wants it not to be belt high which tugs lower back down while I pull upper torso by swimming. Would be better if. Belt was chest hi.

One complaint - the new swim tether did not fit into the original holder (seemingly the new one is a tiny bit wider which prevents it to fit in the old holder. Would be nice to know about it in advance. Also - as I assume I am not the only one encountering this issue - why don’t you offer an adapter.

Used 2’ long, 1” PVC pipe. Attached to fence using electrical conduit clamp and secured with 3” wood screws into fence posts. Solid. Didn’t need to drill into my travertine. Can remove rod as needed. Tether works as advertised. Awesome.

We have been using Swim Tether for about 10 years. W purposely built a small pool to use with the tether. We enjoy our swim workouts and are very happy with the product.

This is the best option for those of us who want a pool workout without having to spend thousands on a water jet device. The tether is strong and works very well. The customer service is excellent. The owner of the company really cares about his customers.

way, way better than any of the tethers on amazon. the quality is great! i love not having to go to a pool at a gym and deal with creepers

We built a relatively small pool so we could heat it all Winter and cool it all Summer. Swim tether allows us to swim in place in our pool. It was easy to install the anchor into the coping, and very easy to swim in place with a pool buoy, snorkel and goggles…just like I use in a lap pool. Even better, my Garmin does a very good job calculating strokes, distance, strokes/minute, etc…all the same stats I get when swimming laps in a longer pool. I am super impressed with the ST3.

SwimTether: accept no substitute.

I live in Florida where a lot of residential pools are small and only good for cooling off or for the grandkids. With the swim tether, our small pool has turned into a workout pool. Very happy with how natural it feels while “swimming in place”.

Having been a Masters Swimmer all my adult life and having had the first generation of the tether, I am very happy with all the upgrades in the new product.
I’m always happy to show my swim friends the setup, and most always get a “that’s not a workout” comment… but I’m always invite them to swim it… and then it kicks their ass with great positioning and support, the ability to refine swim stroke and improve breathing technique…. Hahah. Many have been inspired to get their own.

A fantastic product for when you can't get to the lake or the ocean. I use mine near every day in México in my pool. Because you aren't constantly doing flip turns it feels like an open water swim. And the harder you swim the more resistance there is. It's fantastic ex exercise and age 75 my body thanks me for swimming and not running.

I been using my tether 1-2 days/week for a couple years. I love being able to mix it in at home with lap swimming at the local pool. I also love the flexibility of mixing in a mask, snorkel, and fins for an awesome workout. Thanks for a great product and even better customer service!
