Used 2’ long, 1” PVC pipe. Attached to fence using electrical conduit clamp and secured with 3” wood screws into fence posts. Solid. Didn’t need to drill into my travertine. Can remove rod as needed. Tether works as advertised. Awesome.

I was skeptical at first. My brother introduced the idea to me about using the Swim Tether versus a water jet type resistance device. I swim triathlon events and this is a great way to manage my endurance swims. I can speed up or slow down without having to make adjustments to a water flow. It’s also very economical instead of maintaining a gym membership just for the lap pool. It allows me to utilize my own pool more than ever before. I am enjoying my swim tether immensely!!

We have been using Swim Tether for about 10 years. W purposely built a small pool to use with the tether. We enjoy our swim workouts and are very happy with the product.

This is the best option for those of us who want a pool workout without having to spend thousands on a water jet device. The tether is strong and works very well. The customer service is excellent. The owner of the company really cares about his customers.

Sharing your setup helps others find the right fit.: I’ve got a T3, plus the ‘Ultimate fitness bundle, as I wanted to see whether ankle straps worked better than waist belt. My conclusion is that for free style the ankle straps are better (legs tend to sink with waist belt), but for Breast stroke the waist belt is easier
We inherited an indoor pool with a new house purchase, which although relaxing isn’t big enough (8m) for any form of exercise. I considered a counter current machine, but the effort and cost (and bulk) put me off. The Tether has made all the difference, now we are both swimming hard for 30 minutes daily.

These are exactly what i needed! They catch everything and you can just shake it off. Even the dog hair doesn’t stick to it! Perfect for our small pool and large golden retriever so we don’t have to sit in fur soup with all the hair the big net and skimmer dont get. Bonus that it skims bugs and leaf bits too.
way, way better than any of the tethers on amazon. the quality is great! i love not having to go to a pool at a gym and deal with creepers
This is the second tether I have had. This was purchased as a replacement
We built a relatively small pool so we could heat it all Winter and cool it all Summer. Swim tether allows us to swim in place in our pool. It was easy to install the anchor into the coping, and very easy to swim in place with a pool buoy, snorkel and goggles…just like I use in a lap pool. Even better, my Garmin does a very good job calculating strokes, distance, strokes/minute, etc…all the same stats I get when swimming laps in a longer pool. I am super impressed with the ST3.

If you have a pool that’s not big enough to swim laps, you need one of these. A few hundred bucks vs a $15k - $20k add on propulsion system is a no brainer.
I was about to get rid of my inground pool. My kids grew and lost interest in it. It is too small for me to enjoy a 30-minute daily swimming. An alternative would have been acquiring a FastLane system from Endless Pool for a total ridiculous cost of about 17k, which would have rusted on me in a matter of 2 seasons or so. Swim tether solved my issue. I swim and enjoy daily, literally. One of the best investments ever made! All ingenious is simple, as it is said. I am very, very, very happy.
